If you’ve ever owned a dog, you may have discovered that if their paws get cut, they bleed like a sucker.I mean dark red, pumping-like-a-horror-movie bleeding – for a dog, paw cuts (or losing a nail) usually require a vet visit to get the bleeding stopped.
I’ve found the same thing in many, many organizations – one part of the organization (a certain functional area, or a remote geographic location, or a particular group or team) is often disproportionately way more sensitive than everywhere else – look at them sideways and they bleed. Like crazy.
